Moringa oleifera is not well-know in Mauritius but it is a very useful plant as it is drought-resistant. They are often used in a water purification process. They are cultivated as young seed pods and the leaves as used as medicine. Moringa oleifera leaves are also eaten as vegetables. The plant is very good for the hair and skin, as it is a source of vitamin B, C, K, Provitamin A, protein and manganese.
